Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Finale

Hello to anyone reading this!
It has been over a month since I last posted (when I was freaking out over the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. finale) and I am finally posting a reaction of sorts to the finale. And, no, it didn't take over a month to get around to watching the finale, it just took over a month for me to get around to posting a reaction post to the finale.

WARNING: Spoilers Ahead

Ok, so it turns out that I was completely wrong about the finale. Oh well. I was absolutely convinced that Fitz would die in the finale. I started watching it in a state of just 'oh my gosh Fitz is going to die and I am going to cry and why is this happening'. Now, I was fine and my family was leaving me alone for the most part, until my little brother came upstairs as I'm watching the show and asks me if I found out who died yet. I said no I hadn't, and asked him if he wanted me to tell him who it was when I found out. He said no, and then told me that Fitz didn't die, and he knew that because he and my other brother had googled it or something.

As you can imagine, I was not too pleased with this slight spoiler, and I kind of yelled at him. Ok, chewed him out. My mom didn't appreciate that, so she made me stop watching for around forty-five minutes (right in the middle of the finale) to calm down a little bit. So that is all the drama that happened while I watched the finale.

I got back into the finale, and was on the edge of my seat as I watched, hoping that I wasn't too attached to the character destined to die. For a brief time I actually thought that my brothers had been lying to me, because Fitz was wearing the jacket and had the necklace. But then Daisy got the necklace, and everyone was wearing the jacket with the S.H.I.E.L.D. emblem on it. It could literally be any of them. Why are you doing this to us?

Anyways, there's lots of fighting, lots of confusion and misleading stunts with the necklace, and then Lincoln goes to space with H.I.V.E. What. Ok, so I was never really a big fan of Lincoln, I mean I didn't hate him as much as I hate Laurel Lance from Arrow, but I've still never been to fond of him as a character. So while I was slightly saddened by his death, I have to say that I actually didn't care that much and was relieved that it wasn't someone I cared more about. So yeah, what was supposed to be a heart-wrenching, sorrowful moment in the show, was for me just a moment of 'Oh. Well this is kind of sad, but I'm just happy it wasn't Fitz! Yay! Fitzsimmons!' Am I a bad person?

Some other things about the finale, six months later Coulson isn't director and is hunting an emo Daisy? What? Like how did that happen? I can't really think of who the director might be, other than Fury (but he'd have to return from the dead), Stark (Although then S.H.I.E.L.D. would have to reveal that they're still there), or maybe Maria Hill? I mean, we've met other people in the MCU that have been director at some point in comics (such as Daisy or Sharon Carter) but I really don't know who they're going to use.

Fitzsimmons fangirl moment: when Dr. Radcliffe is talking to his computer and asks it to invite Fitz over, she says no, that Fitz has a surprise planned for Jemma. What kind of surprise? Proposal? Please let it be a proposal! Fitzsimmons wedding! Yes!

Also, Dr. Radcliffe is making LMDs. Why would you do that? Those things kill! Also, didn't this universe learn their lesson about building robots with AI capabilities in Age of Ultron? I guess not...

Side note: Coulson quoting Princess Leia was arguably the best part of the finale.

Alright, well I hope you all have an okay time waiting for the next season! I know I won't!

Freaking Out: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 Finale Tonight!

Hello all!
Boy it's been a while since I posted anything. I went on a trip with my family, and have been busy with other things, etc.

If anyone reading this knows me at all (or maybe reads some of my other posts) they will know that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is my favorite show of all time. Like, if I had to choose between eating ice cream and watching S.H.I.E.L.D., I would choose S.H.I.E.L.D. I love the characters, I love the plot, I love the action, the romance, and I am way too invested in the lives of these characters. The finale of season 3 is tonight, and I am freaking out.

I mean, I've been freaking out about this finale since we had the mid-season premiere a while back, and it foreshadowed the death of a character. I just thought initially that the person who died wouldn't be someone I really cared about too much, and that I'd be okay. However, recent footage and events lead me to believe that one of my favorite characters could be kicking the can tonight. I'm going to go in depth concerning all the characters who could possibly die and why I think they will or won't.

WARNING: Spoilers for much of the second half of season 3, and I'm also theorizing about events in the finale, so some people may consider this spoilers.

First of all, I'm going to tell you about the vision of death in case anyone forgot the specifics. It starts out as a view of the Earth from above, and zooms back to reveal that the point of view is inside the control room of some sort of spaceship. As it keeps panning back, you see a gold cross necklace floating in the frame, along with drops of what appears to be blood. The camera pans back a bit more so that you can see a S.H.I.E.L.D. logo shoulder patch on a jacket someone is wearing. You cannot tell if the blood is from this person (although it's implied) and you cannot tell who the person is. Then the spaceship blows up.

Now, they introduced a character named Elena who wears a cross necklace that looks exactly like the one in the death scene, so at first I thought that they would kill her off at the end of the season. But now the necklace has started to switch owners, so it's no longer clear who will be dying. It will be one of the main cast, so it could be Coulson, May, Fitz, Simmons, Daisy, Mack, Elena, Lincoln, or Joey. However, considering that whoever dies is in space, we can eliminate several people on account of them not being likely sent to space.

Let's start with who definitely won't die, Coulson and Daisy. Now, I could be totally wrong, but I've tried to reason all this out as clearly as possible.

Coulson won't die because, well, he's Coulson. The man already died once! He's also the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. now, so there's no reason that his team would allow him to go into space even if he wants to because he's needed. I also doubt that he would come into possession of the cross necklace because while he is a bit of a father figure to most of the team, he is still the director and slightly separated from the friendship he might have with them otherwise.

Daisy will not die because she's kind of the main character. She'll also probably be locked up either in a cell or a hospital bed considering the events of the last couple of episodes. So no chance of going to space, and since she can't be trusted much right now, not much chance of getting the necklace.

Now some people who probably won't die, but still could, May, Lincoln, and Joey.

I do not think that Joey will die. There is a chance, but still it probably is not him. He's only been around since the beginning of the season, hasn't been in many episodes, and even if we like him nobody's really that invested in him yet, so it wouldn't be much of a shock to the audience. However, he is skilled in his powers and some combat related things, so he could be sent to space, and is kind of friends with Elena (original owner of the cross necklace) who might give it to him

Lincoln, unfortunately, will probably survive til the next season. I don't like him much, and most viewers seem to similarly dislike him, as do most of the characters on the show (excluding Daisy). So if they killed Lincoln, pretty much no one would care. However, because of his impulsive nature, it is possible that he could decide that he is the one who should go into space, and possibly just go without permission. And, like Joey, he is friends with Elena, so he could potentially be given the necklace.

May is a bit different. There was a comic book cover release last month regarding the yet unrevealed fallen agent that mirrored the cover image on the death of Gwen Stacy comic. On the cover, May's face is in the same place that Gwen Stacy's was. So either May will die or the writers are having a grand old time throwing us red herrings left and right. If you think about it, though, she doesn't really know Elena on a personal level, and probably doesn't have the skill set required to go to space. So May probably won't receive the necklace or get on a space ship.

Now for the people that I think have a really good chance of dying tonight, Elena, Fitz, Simmons, and Mack.

Elena is one of these people mainly because the necklace belongs to her. However, she also hasn't been on the show for long and likely wouldn't be sent to space, so there's a good chance for her survival.

Mack could very possibly die. Regarding the necklace, he has already been given it by Elena because the two of them have grown quite close. In the case of the jacket, we've seen most of the agents wear one, including him. Likely hood of being sent to space? I'd say pretty high. He is very good with technical things, and so would be a good choice to fly a space ship. We could be losing Alphonso Mackenzie.

Now, Fitzsimmons. We'll consider them as an entity first, and then separately. For some reason, the writers seem to love hurting these two, especially at the end of the seasons. End of season one, Fitz told Simmons he loved her, but she didn't love him back, and then he went into a coma from lack of oxygen after they survived being dumped on the ocean floor. End of season two, Fitz asks Simmons out, and then a giant alien rock eats her. Anyone else sensing a pattern here? First something concerning their romantic relationship, and then a gut-wrenching plot twist that throws everything in the dirt. This season has seen Fitzsimmons finally, FINALLY get together, so what else could the writers do but kill one or both of them?

Simmons is less likely to die. While it is very possible she could be given the necklace or wear the jacket, it is highly unlikely that she will be sent into space because she is a biochemist and not an engineer, not exactly who you'd want to send to space, unless she were to go with Fitz for some reason.

As much as it physically hurts me to say this, Fitz is the most likely to die out of everyone I've listed so far. He's a fan-favorite, the writers love doing something awful to Fitzsimmons at the end of every season, he's worn the jacket with the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo, he's buddies with Mack and might be given the cross necklace, and he would be an excellent choice to send into space. I really think he will die, and if I'm right I really will contact the writers and yell at them. Honestly, though, if I were one of the writers of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and had to choose someone to kill that would shock and ruin the lives of everyone watching the show, I would choose Fitz.

So I'm only theorizing about who dies, and not how they defeat HIVE or anything else like that. I could be completely wrong, or completely right. I will post again after I watch the finale.

Flirting While Driving

Hello to anyone reading this!

I hope you're having a great day. Today I am going to talk about another weird thing that I've done. Before you read this and judge me, I was in a weird mood that day, okay? This is a no judgement zone.

Alright, so I was in the car (passenger seat - I wasn't driving) with my mom (she was driving) one of my siblings, and some of our friends. We were all very excited and rowdy, leading to some odd behavior. I was babbling about something when my brother yells at me from the backseat "Hey! Don't you know that guy?" At which point I turn my head to look at the guy driving next to us with his window rolled down. Now, I didn't actually know the guy, but I decided to see if I could grab his attention.

First, I leaned on the window with my chin on my hand and stared at him, trying to look flirty to see what his reaction would be. Finally, after a minute, he glances up and sees me staring at him. He looked kind of startled, so I waved and grinned at him. He smiled and waved back. We kept doing this every time we passed each other, and when he pulled ahead I could see him looking back in his rear view mirror at our car. So I rolled my window down, stuck my arm out, and waved at him.

Everyone in my car thought the whole exchange was hilarious (because it was), and he seemed to be enjoying himself as well. Unfortunately, he eventually had to turn while we kept going straight. So I turned to him, made the phone sign with my hand, and mouthed "Call me!" He nodded that he would do so, and waved goodbye as he turned. I was a little sad, honestly.

So there's the story of the time I flirted with a stranger who was driving another car. Weird, I know. But I had a great time doing it!

5 Reasons I Love My Little Pony

My Little Pony.
I know what you're thinking. That's a kids' show! or It's for little girls, and no one else should watch it! If this is your opinion then I am here to tell you one thing: you're wrong.

Now before anyone gets mad, no, I'm not saying that everyone has to watch it and enjoy it. I am saying that it is a good show and deserves to at least be given a chance. It is not strictly for little girls or kids anymore, and there are legitimate reasons to enjoy it. In fact, there is a large community of people outside the targeted age range who call themselves 'Bronies' and all genuinely enjoy the show.

Here are 5 reasons (in no particular order)  that I personally enjoy the show:

#1: The Plot Line

This show was created by an excellent writer by the name of Lauren Faust. I wouldn't be surprised if you recognize the name, she's worked on a lot of successful cartoons including The Powerpuff Girls. I don't think that the show would be nearly as good if she hadn't started it out strong the way she did. (So thanks, :D)

Equestria is the magical land that the ponies live in. We have Unicorns, Pegasi, Earth Ponies, and a few Alicorn princesses. Alongside all the good citizens of Equestria are a shocking amount of villains. And when I say villains, I mean real, evil, excellent villains. Some of the best villains in fictional universes! These guys cause some real issues for the ponies, who have to use magic and friendship power to defeat them.

But we also have the classic sitcom friendship issues. By sitcom I don't mean it is a sitcom, but that the friendship problems cropping up are similar. And they aren't like the typical little kid show's problems either, you know, "Oh no! There are eight people at the party and only seven cupcakes! That means we have to share!" My Little Pony has problems like, "I need to work and make money to send to the town for the repairs because I lost the competition and didn't get the prize money we were all relying on." It has real problems and real solutions.

#2: Musical Numbers

Everyone loves a good musical, and if they say they don't they're lying. My Little Pony has some of the best songs of any animated kids show ever. If you don't believe me, check it out online or watch an episode. I guarantee that you'll get one stuck in your head, and you won't even care because it'll be such a good song. While there are a few episodes that don't have any songs, there are others that are basically just songs, so that kind of balances it out.

#3: Variety of Characters

A lot of shows try to have a variety of characters that all have different personalities, but mostly fail and end up showing stereotypes of a certain character trait or not developing them enough so that the audience can get a feel for the characters. My Little Pony has six main characters, and they all have a unique personality. Everyone who watches the show can find a certain pony (or ponies) that they relate to more than the others, even if it's not one of the main six.

For instance, I relate to Twilight Sparkle. (Who just so happens to be my personal favorite). We both obsess over our tasks, and enjoy using check lists to organize ourselves. We also like to read more than almost anything else, and like to help others understand things. I do wish that I was more motivated like she is, but we're pretty much the same!

It's good to have all kinds of characters because it shows how you don't have to be the exact same as other people (ponies) in order to be good friends with them!

#4: It Teaches Kids that Everyone is Special in their Own Way

All the ponies have something called a cutie mark. They aren't born with it though, a cutie mark is something that appears on a young pony's flank when he or she figures out what their special talent is. Thus, there is a wide variety of cutie marks. If someone is good at singing, they may have music notes. Or if they're good at building things, they could have a hammer and nails for a cutie mark. It really emphasizes how everyone has a different purpose and talents.

#5: It Deals with Issues like Bullying in a Good Way

Remember how I said that not everypony is born with a cutie mark but gets it at different points in their life? Well, there are three young ponies (Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo) who don't have their cutie marks when everyone else in their school does. Therefore, a character named Diamond Tiara constantly taunts them and calls them 'blank flanks', even driving them to tears on a few occasions. The young ponies have trouble dealing with her at times, and have made a few mistakes by attempting to get revenge, at which point older ponies direct them on the right path.

But in a recent episode, it is revealed that Diamond Tiara - who is rich and acts like nothing ever goes wrong for her - has a difficult family life. The episode revolves around her trying to overcome her parent's mean personalities and develop her own self so that she can make her own decisions. Surprisingly, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo are happy to help Diamond Tiara find herself and they even make up and apologize for being rude to each other at times.

There are other issues it addresses as well, and the writers do an excellent job of showing healthy ways of dealing with them, such as keeping a good group of friends around you at all times.

BONUS: Friendship is Magic

The show's full title is My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. And there's a reason for that. If you don't have friends (or a friend - number doesn't matter) then you will be lonely. Or if you ignore them, then they can't help you with your problems. True friends will stick with you. True friends won't give up on you even if you give up on yourself. And true friends won't ever let you down. Friendship is Magic.

-Owl ^OvO^

Disclaimer: I don't own My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic or anything related to it. I just think it's awesome.

The Weatherman: Part 1

Spencer Newton runs through the news studio, papers flying behind him, trying to reach the green screen for that morning's weather broadcast. He's almost there, when he trips over an unsecured camera wire and drops all his papers.

"No!" he yells, and scrambles to pick up the scattered pages.

"Oh, shoot!" Meredith, one of the camera crew rushes over to help him. "I am so, so, sorry! I thought I had all the wires secure, but I guess I didn't, I mean what if Georgia had tripped over this instead? That would've been bad." She handed him his papers. "Here's your papers, hopefully you read the weather reports right this time!"

He smiled at her. "Thanks, Meredith."

"Oh, hey, did you get Georgia's email? The one about the office party on Friday? I was wondering if you're going to go, because I was thinking about going, but I wasn't sure if I'd know anyone or if you were going to go and if you were, then I might go, but then again I might not..."

"Newton! Davidson!" the harsh voice of Norman Oliver interrupted her mid-sentence. "What are you doing just standing around, huh? Get to work, Davidson! And Newton, get your butt over to the green screen! You better have the right readings this time!"

"Oh, I do sir!" Spencer answered as he scurried to his place before the green screen. "I quadruple-checked these readings last night and this morning for ensured accuracy!"

He thumbed through his papers quickly while the camera crew set up and put his mic on. Setting his coffee on the desk, Spencer straightened his bow-tie - light blue today - and fixed his hair briefly.

Meredith gave him a thumbs up. "And we're on in five, four, three, two..."

Everything paused for Spencer as his eye caught on something across the room. Black heels clicking as long legs moved them across the floor. Loose, blonde curls lay on top of a tight-fitting red dress. Finally he looked at her face, with those two bright blue eyes gleaming in the studio lights. Georgia Baker. The best meteorologist in Channel 14 history, Georgia Baker waved at him as she sashayed across the floor. He grinned and went to wave back at her, but in the process knocked his steaming coffee over, which spilled all over his lap.

"One! We're live!" Meredith finished just as this catastrophe was happening.

The viewers of Channel 14 News were just in time to see nerdy Spencer Newton dump hot coffee all over himself and then look up and have to say the weather without a reaction. Many were amazed that he didn't even tear up, that coffee had looked pretty warm. But they were also surprised that he was reporting. Last time he reported, he'd foretold sunny skies and warm weather, only to be proven wrong by a humongous blizzard hitting the state from out of nowhere.

"And today there'll be mild rainfall in the southeast, with sporadic showers popping up in the rest of the state, along with cloudy skies. This week will be mainly downcast, with a pretty much constant drizzle going on," Spencer confidently relayed the week's weather, ignoring the burning feeling in his legs. What he failed to notice was the looks all his coworkers were uneasily giving each other, and the murmurs that popped up in the station.

He didn't think he could last much longer, when finally Meredith signaled that he had ten more seconds.

"So let's all keep our umbrellas with us this week!" he finished. He smiled until the camera's light flicked off, and then he jumped up and was swarmed by people with towels trying to help him clean up. At last, they finished the job, and he looked up triumphantly, for he was sure to be praised for such a great job despite having spilled coffee on himself. Everyone was staring at him.

Mr. Oliver cleared his throat. "Mr. Newton. I know you said that you checked the readings several times, but did you ever think to, erm, look outside? Because I think that the readings Ms. Baker has just shown me are much more accurate."

"What?" Spencer ran to the window, and was greeted with sunshine and a clear sky. "But, but, when I came to work, there were clouds, and I checked several times, and -"

"And you messed up again," Georgia said. "I don't know how you could have, I mean it was really obvious. Anyone who's actually studied meteorology would've known." She smiled sweetly at him, making his stomach do somersaults.

"I think, Mr. Newton, that maybe you should just stay in the back from now on," Mr. Oliver said.

Spencer stared at the sunshine. He was sure he'd read the reports right. There was no way he could be wrong again! How could this happen? Why was he always wrong? He gathered his things off the desk and dejectedly walked back to his desk, in order to check his readings again. This time, however, they said sunshine! What?

Superheroes Drink Apple Juice

Hey Everyone!
So, I was watching Young Justice with my siblings today, and we took some lovely pictures:

Nightwing enjoys a cracker.

Neutron gets his teeth cleaned

Jay Garrick sips some Apple Juice

Nightwing loves juice boxes

Aww! Nightwing shared a cracker with Robin

Impulse didn't miss out on the apple juice party

Barry Allen is confused because of how tasty this juice is

Mal Duncan has a snack

Iris West-Allen takes a sip of Barry's juice box

As you can see, we enjoyed ourselves greatly. Also, has anyone else heard the great news that Netflix might make a season 3 for Young Justice? It is a big maybe still, but I think that it will happen considering how popular the show is. If you google Young Justice Season 3, you'll find a lot of people talking about it and how great it would be if it's true. Here's hoping!

Why I Ship Fitzsimmons

Fitzsimmons - basically the only ship in history that has shipped itself since episode one, came with a name, and causes no ship wars because everyone ships it.

Ok, so maybe there's other ships that follow those guidelines. But none of them are as good as Fitzsimmons. I may be slightly obsessed. If you've ever seen an episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. though, you'll understand.

Here is a list of reasons I ship Fitzsimmons:

Reason #1: Their Backstory

When we are introduced to Fitzsimmons in season 1, they are fighting over something in the science lab, talking over each other and gesticulating wildly. Grant Ward mistakes them for the same person, before they tell him it's Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons, they're not the same person, but they do work together. "He's engineering, I'm biochem." Oh, and did I mention he's Scottish and she's British?

As the season progresses we realize how close they are. And by close, I mean psychically linked. They've been friends for so long that they know each other inside and out, and it's beautiful. We also realize that Fitz is in the friendzone. He is in love with Simmons, but she doesn't know it and honestly hasn't even thought of that possibility in their relationship. She doesn't realize it until they are stuck at the bottom of the ocean faced with the likely possibility of death and he confesses his love for her before they escape, Simmons using the only oxygen mask they have and Fitz nearly dying from lack of oxygen.

Season 2 starts, and Fitz is trying to cope with a damaged brain as the result of his ocean adventure. He seems to be talking to Simmons, and then we realize that she's only in his head. Because the real Simmons left. What? I know. I was mad at her too. But then she comes back, and they start to repair. By the end of the season, they've talked about their feelings and Fitz asks her on a date. OMG! This was seriously the best moment of my life.

Then, after Fitz leaves the room, a giant rock eats her. Seriously. I am not kidding. Like, what?

After an excruciatingly long summer of waiting, we get season 3. We also find out that the rock transported Simmons to an alien planet, and that Fitz has done nothing but search for her the entire time. Finally Simmons comes back! But it's not the happy ending we wanted. Jemma had met another man marooned on the planet with her. Fitz, ever the gentleman, wants to help her bring him back so that she can choose between them. Tensions rise because Jemma wants him to get mad or something because she hasn't had any reaction from him, and they finally kiss. Yay!!! At this point, they are rebuilding their relationship at a slow pace because of all the trauma they've experienced together.

Basically I feel like they've been through so much together in the course of the show (and before the show began) that there's no way they can't end up together.

Reason #2: They're at Their Best when Together

If you watch the show, you'll notice that Fitz can have quite a temper when something goes wrong or he gets irritated. But when Simmons is around, he keeps a cap on it, or she'll give him a look and he'll stop quickly.

Simmons uses Fitz as a sounding board, and he reassures her when she's worried or comforts her when she's upset. She always has someone to talk to because he'll listen.

Reason #3: Their Babies will be Adorable - and Smart

This is obvious if you've seen the show.

Reason #4: They Both Care about Each Other A Lot

Every time that something bad has happened to Simmons, Fitz helps in any way that he can. When she thought that she would die from an alien virus he helped her find a cure and didn't give up. When she was lost on an alien planet, he never stopped searching for her. And Jemma didn't want to take the oxygen because she didn't want him to die. When he was in a coma after they escaped the bottom of the sea she stayed by his side - at least until he woke up.

Reason #5: They're Best Friends

No one knows them better than each other. They're perfect together.

There are countless other reasons to ship them, but these are some of the main ones. If you haven't seen Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., then I encourage you to start watching. If not for the amazing plot line, then for Fitzsimmons.
