Leo Fitz Explains Dimensions (And other stuff happens)

Hey Everyone!

So last night I watched the most recent Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode (3.15) and it was one of the best yet. I'd say that it's in my top 15 favorite episodes, of course I'd have to actually make a list to tell you for sure, but it's definitely one of the best. It's right up there with the one where they find out Ward is Hydra, Simmon's episode on the planet, the last episode of season 2 (boy talk about a cliffhanger), and the episode with Fitz and Coulson escaping the planet.

Warning: Spoilers beyond this point (don't say I didn't warn you)

In this episode we are introduced to a new Inhuman. His powers are that when someone touches him, both they and he see a vision of the future, specifically the events right before someone's death. Freaky, right? So right in the beginning of the episode, he touches this restaurant owner accidentally and the owner sees his own death, but he also sees Daisy Johnson in the vision and so he starts calling the police and telling them that he has to talk to her. S.H.I.E.L.D. finds out about this, so they go to see the restaurant owner and try and figure out what is going on. When they get there, they witness his death, but he managed to tell them that the homeless guy is the person who gave him the visions. Daisy runs to go get the homeless guy because she realized he was Inhuman, but then Hydra grabs him with a giant claw from their helicopter and flies off. However, Daisy's fingers brush against him and she gets a vision.

She sees several things, including a woman crying, Lincoln with a bloody face, Fitz and Simmons holding hands in what looks like snow, Coulson shooting at her, her fighting with a bunch of guys in a room, and the homeless guy dying. She shares her visions with the rest of the team and tells them that she thinks she can change what she saw.

The team has differing opinions. Fitz does not think that it is possible for her to change what she saw. Simmons seems to kind of agree, but is still open to trying to change what she saw. Lincoln believes that every Inhuman is given powers for a specific reason that will benefit other members of the species in some way, so he thinks that maybe she can change it because he got the powers in order to show others future events and others could change them. Coulson and May both think that the future events Daisy saw can be changed, but that Daisy shouldn't be involved in it because that eliminates the chance of those events happening.

As they're discussing this and most of them think it is possible to do this, you can see Fitz getting very exasperated. Finally he tries to explain to them why it will never work because of the nature of dimensions. He shows them how a second dimensional creature couldn't change a third dimensional event because it is already concrete in the third dimensional world, the same way a third dimensional creature can't change a fourth dimensional event because it's already concrete in the fourth dimensional world. They all blow him off and decide to try and change it anyways.

May and Daisy begin going over the visions, and trying to get May to complete certain actions faster in order to save the homeless guy from dying. She's getting close, but then Andrew comes to the base. He tells them that he's about to change for the last time and won't change back to his human form, so he wanted to tell May goodbye. Coulson then tells May that she isn't allowed to take Daisy's place because she needs to be with Andrew. So Daisy goes anyway.

They embark on their mission and all the things Daisy saw start coming true. The crying woman was actually the homeless man's wife, and she tells them how he left their family because he couldn't hold their infant daughter without her seeing a horrific vision. Then Daisy beats the guys up and Coulson shoots at Daisy, except it was through a mirror, so he actually shot the guy behind the mirror. Lincoln gets beat up too.

Daisy runs off to try and save the guy, and Coulson and Lincoln see Ward on video cameras that they're monitering. Daisy is too late to save the guy, he jumps in front of a bullet to save her life and the rooftop they're on starts to burn. Fitzsimmons holds hands in the street below as ash falls on them from above. Andrew turns one last time after he tells May that he always loved her and would never take back any of the time they spent together.

Think that's the end? Think again. Right before the homeless guy dies, he touches Daisy one more time and she has a vision of someone in space. There's drops of blood floating in the spaceship, a gold cross necklace, and someone's shoulder. We couldn't see the face, but I personally think it's Elena, the Inhuman from Mexico because the cross necklace looks like hers.

Thus ends a particularly grueling episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I don't know if I'm excited for the finale or not, because they seem to love excruciating cliffhangers. Of course, you really need to watch this episode to get the feel for it, and please do if you haven't already.

Have a great weekend!
